Professional Development Committee

RFP Process which requires all applications to address how a particular training supports the learning-centered environment. Proposals should show how the professional development activity will contribute to two goals:

  1. employee learning, growth and improvement
  2. institutional learning, growth and improvement

Use of professional development funds will be characterized by a "receive and give back" cycle. That is, individuals or groups receiving professional development funds will be expected to give back to the college in some way. This giving back might take many forms, and will be relative to the scope of the professional development activity itself, for example: writing a document or creating a web site, offering a presentation or workshop based on what was learned during the professional development activity, or doing a specific project in support of professional development
