The Staff
Masaru has finally found his dream job: one that combines
his love of travel with his love of eating foods from all over the world! He
serves Cascadia Community College as Director of International Programs, and he
is personally interested in the success of each student who studies here. He was
born in Tokyo, raised in Hawaii, and completed a degree in International
Relations at a small private college in New Hampshire. After teaching English in
Japan, he completed law school and decided to pursue a career in international
education. Relationships are important to Masaru, so please be sure to contact
him and let him know how you are doing!
Sabrina, originally from Canada, loves anything international...especially
the people, cultural traditions, languages, and, of course, the food! She has lived
in Belgium, Morocco, Honduras, France, and Iceland and has traveled to many other
countries. Already a fluent French speaker, she is currently trying to
learn Hindi.
She has a master's degree in education and worked at the University of
Washington before joining Cascadia. She has family in France, India,
England, Belgium, and Canada. Sabrina is the International Student Advisor and helps students with housing,
orientation, classes, immigration, and anything else that students ask her!
If you have
questions, need some help, or would just like to chat, please contact the
International Programs Office!
