Housing and Transportation
Housing is always a priority concern for International Students and our International Programs
staff is here to help you. Please
contact us if you have questions about any of the items listed below. The college does not maintain dormitories or other housing, and does not assume responsibility for independent housing facilities used by students.
There are many apartment buildings within walking
distance to the campus, including and not limited to the following:
Our campus is in King County, but is just on the
border with Snohomish County. If you are interested in housing options in the greater King and Snohomish County areas, some helpful Web sites are listed below. To help you locate local information at the sites listed: Cascadia is located in Bothell, Washington which is near the borders of north King County and south Snohomish County. Our zip code is 98011.
*Note: Cascadia is not affiliated with any of the sites listed above. These links will open in a new browser window.
Cascadia Community College refers all homestay housing requests to outside agencies. The
three agencies below are reputable, privately owned homestay agencies from which
students can choose. Please do not send your housing application and
placement fee to Cascadia. It is your responsibility to communicate closely
with your housing agent to arrange your own accommodation.

Homeowners often rent rooms in their houses to students. This is a great way to live in an American home, yet maintain
your own level of independence. To find rooms for rent we recommend the
following 2 ways:
- Search
Craig's List for rooms for
rent in Lake City, Bothell, or Woodinville. Check that they're on the
bus line!
- Walk around the neighborhood and look for
signs posted outside of homes. This is a common practice in the USA.
If you find a room you're interested in we
strongly recommend that you ask several questions about what your money covers,
if there are additional fees, and more.
Contact us if you would like more information about what to ask.
From SeaTac Airport to Cascadia
There are several ways to get from SeaTac Airport
to Cascadia.
- Buses (174,
194,
560) and
taxis located outside
the baggage claim area of the airport travel from the airport to Bothell.
Be aware that a bus may not take you to your exact location; you will have
to change buses so please check the links. Taxis will take you to your
exact location, however they can be expensive. To plan a bus trip from
SeaTac to Bothell, read the local bus at
King Country Metro or
Sound Transit.
- Shuttle Express is a
relatively inexpensive service that can take you to your final destination.
They also have 24 hour service, which can be helpful. Most students
choose this method for going to and from the airport. Shuttle Express
has a booth in the parking area of the garage at the airport; follow the red
and black ground transportation signs to find it.
- You can also arrange to be picked up from the airport by a Cascadia staff
member. To do this, print and complete the
Arrival Information Form and fax it to
the number on the form. Based on the
information you provide on the form, a Cascadia faculty member will pick you up
at the airport. Note: There will be a $20 charge for airport pick-up.
