President's Biography

Dr. William Christopher

President, Cascadia Community College

Dr. William Christopher assumed the presidency of Cascadia Community College on July 1, 2005. He came to Cascadia from Rock Creek Campus of Portland Community College in Portland, Oregon, where he had been Campus President.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Christopher was Dean for Instruction at Whatcom Community College in Bellingham. He served as Division Director for Mathematics, Science and Health Occupations at Olympic College in Bremerton. Dr. Christopher began his career in community colleges as a faculty member at Southern Nevada Community College in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Dr. Christopher received a doctoral degree in biology in 1976 from Idaho State University. His Master’s Degree, earned at Antioch University in Yellow Springs, Ohio, is in Science Teaching. He has a Bachelor of Science from State University of New York, College at Oneonta.
