Professional Technical Certificates
Professional Technical Certificates are less than two-year-long programs that provide you with knowledge and skills that prepare you for specific employment. Certificate length varies by program. These skills match job opportunities with local businesses in Bothell, Kirkland, Redmond, Carnation, Duvall and other Puget Sound locations.
- Computer Applications Specialist
will have thorough knowledge of many different software including database, desktop
publishing, spreadsheet and word processing applications.
- Network Specialist
will be able to analyze customers’ network requirements and constraints to design
and implement appropriate systems.
- Technical Support Specialist
will have the skills to provide technical support on basic software and hardware issues to customers and employees.
- Web Specialist
will be able to design and maintain Internet, Intranet and Extranet sites in a variety of business and organizational environments.
Skill Upgrade Certificates
The Skill Upgrade Certificate is very short (under 20 credits) and is focused on developing a narrow skill set. A certificate is awarded for the following programs to students who complete the requirements:
- Accounting Assistant
will use the skills acquired here to accomplish entry level accounting assistant tasks.
- Database Development
provides an introduction to database design, development and administration.
- Flash Design
create multimedia presentations ranging from banner ads to full-length, animated videos.
- Office Skills Integrated with ABE
help students achieve entry level skills in office technology. This program offers the skills and exposure needed for success in an office environment.
- PC Network Technician
maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals.
- Phlebotomy
provide individuals with the theoretical background and manual skills required for accurate blood collection
using a range of intrusive procedures.
