Who We Are
The Cascadia Community College Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation established in 2000 to support Washington State's newest community college. The Foundation has grown from a fledgling four-member board of directors to an energetic board of twenty. With generous contributions from the community and college employees, in 2005-06 the Foundation was able to provide over $70,000 to fund student scholarships, college programs and employee professional development activities.

Purpose

The Cascadia Community College Foundation supports the college and its students by reaching out to the community to build relationships and develop resources in order to enrich learning experiences, provide financial assistance to students and assist with key college initiatives.

Programs
Scholarships
Through the Foundation Cascadia Community College students are able to apply for a variety of scholarships that are made possible by the generosity of many individuals, organizations and businesses. At this time applications are being accepted for the Boeing Scholarship, the Cascadia Community College Foundation Scholarship, the Nathaniel Jacob Allen Memorial Scholarship and the Woodinville Rotary Scholarship. Please visit the "Assistance for Students" page for more information.

Richart Student Support Fund
Named in honor of Victoria M. Richart, President of Cascadia Community College from 2000 to 2004, the Richart Student Support Fund provides short-term loans to students when money for tuition and books is needed before long-term financial assistance is received. This fund also offers small grants to students with serious and/or emergent needs. Requests are considered year-round on a case-by-case basis. Please visit the "Assistance for Students" page for more information.

Excellence in Teaching, Learning & Service Endowment
With support from the community and Cascadia employees, the Foundation established an endowment in 2005 for the Excellence in Teaching, Learning & Service Award. The ETLS Award will be bestowed for the first time in Spring 2007 and annually thereafter to recognize Cascadia faculty who make exceptional contributions to the college's vision and mission through their teaching, learning and service.
