Effective Summer Quarter 2007

Assessment Fees

Assessment of Prior Learning/Course Challenge $16.25 per credit
A non-refundable fee is charged for challenged courses. Successful completion of the preparation course is a prerequisite.

Interest Inventories $25
For assessments that help identify career interests (i.e., the Strong-Campbell Interest Inventory) and/or learning and interaction styles (i.e., the Meyers-Briggs Type Indicator).

Placement Assessment (COMPASS) $16.25
Non-refundable fee for placement assessment in English and/or mathematics.


Distance Learning Fees

Distance Learning, ITV $32.45 per course
For classes conducted entirely or predominantly by Interactive Television.

Distance Learning, Online $43.25 per course
For classes conducted entirely or partially online.

Distance Learning, Telecourse $32.45 per course
For classes conducted entirely or predominantly as telecourses.

Proctoring Services Fees

Non-Student Proctoring Services $40 per test up to 2 hours
Proctoring services are available in the Assessment Center in Kodiak Corner on a space available basis. A fee is charged to cover administrative and proctoring services for non-Cascadia classes. Proctoring services should be requested a least two weeks in advance.

WAOL Proctoring Services $16.25 per test up to 2 hours
This fee will be assessed to cover the cost of proctoring exams taken by WAOL students.


Service Fees

ePortfolio Fee, student ePortfolio burned to CD $5.35 per request
Charged for each request to have an ePortfolio exported to CD.

Graduation $16.25
The fee is charged to the defray cost of graduation activities, and the cost of printing a student's diploma or certificate.

Parking  
Parking fees, including tax are charged per quarter or visit. Visit the website for current fees.

Parking and Traffic Citations  
Unpaid citations may result in referral to collections.

Printing Fee per additional unit $10.00
Students are provided with a standard printing allocation of 600 B&W and 30 color pages. If allocation is depleted, an additional unit of 300 B&W and 15 color pages can be purchased.

Student Identification Card, Replacement $10.80
 
Transcript $3.20
This fee will be charged for official student transcripts. An official request takes at least two business days to process. All parking fines, library dues, and outstanding balances must be cleared before official transcripts can be released.

Technology Fees

Technology Fee $4 per credit,
(minimum $10,
maximum $40 per quarter)
The student body voted to assess this fee to provide email accounts, discounted Microsoft software, network storage, and regularly updated hardware and software.

Computer and Technology Lab $2.65 per credit
(maximum $26.50 per quarter)
For classes that place a high demand on computer and/or technology resources.

Computer Account $20 per quarter for non-credited students
The fee for individual email accounts, file storage and network access from campus for students who desire it.

Intensive Computer & Technology Lab $4.30 per credit (maximum $43 per quarter)
This fee will be charged for classes that utilize advanced technology or require extraordinary technical support.

Certiport Certification Exams  
Cascadia provides Certiport exams on individual or instructor level in Standard Key Applications, Standard Living Online Computers and Society, and Standard Computing Fundamentals. Exams cost from $47.45-111.85. Contact the Assessment Center for pricing, Kodiak Corner, 425.352.8860.

Challenge Exam – BIT Applicants  
Cascadia provides Challenge exams for Business & Information Technology (BIT) applicants interested in receiving credit for courses offered by Cascadia that are equivalent to the exam. Exam costs vary from $79.15 to $92.85. Contact the Assessment Center for pricing, Kodiak Corner, 425.352.8860.

Challenge Exam – BIT Networking Students  
Cascadia provides Challenge exams for BIT students to receive credit for courses equivalent to the exam. Exam costs vary from $79.15 to $110.80. Contact the Assessment Center for pricing, Kodiak Corner, 425.352.8860.

CISCO Certification Practice Exam Fees  
Cascadia provides CISCO certification practice exams for BIT Networking students interested in: 1) demonstrating they have met course requirements and want to receive credit for the equivalent exam, or 2) testing their skills prior to taking the CISCO Certification exam. Students will be charged this fee when they submit a check for payment, and there are insufficient funds in their account to cover the check.
