SKILLS, INTERESTS, OCCUPATIONAL, AND PERSONALITY Assessments available at Cascadia Community College

WOIS/The Career Information System

A complete career planning and assessment package customized with added occupational information specific to Washington State. At www.wois.org you will find all the WOIS descriptions of occupations, educational programs, schools, and military occupations.

Assessment Tools:
  • Work Importance Locator - Results reflect what values are most important to you and provide a list of those occupations that reflect the values as you have ranked them.
  • Skills Assessment - identify occupations that match your skills and how your skills match the Holland Personality Types, occupational clusters, and specific occupations to explore.
  • Interest Profiler - The Interest Profiler helps you find out what your interests are and how they relate to the world of work. It does this by asking you to answer questions that represent important interest areas. Your Interest Profiler scores will help you identify your strongest work-related interests. Knowing your work interests can help you decide what kinds of jobs and careers you want to explore.

For those who like to stay organized, WOIS offers a Portfolio component where you can store information about your career research and experiences. The portfolio allows easy recording of information about Educational Plans, Assessments taken, Work and Community Experiences and Career Research. WOIS is available in the Student Development Center located in the Library Annex. Temporary login information for access from home is available. No appointment is necessary.
