Wetlands

Black-tail deer - seen on campusCascadia Community College and UW Bothell have the unique opportunity to share a 127 acre campus that is home to an ongoing wetlands restoration project. The project began with the rerouting of North Creek to its original course, and continues today with replanting of native plant species that is encouraging wildlife to return as well.

Wetlands Tours

A tour of the wetlands can be arranged for members of the community by calling 425.352.8000 (Mondays through Fridays, 8am to 5pm). These tours are offered for a minimum number of participants and during regular business hours, Monday through Friday. Weekend tours are only available on a limited basis and require a minimum of a three-week notice and at least six participants.

Wetlands in the Classroom

Some of Cascadia's course material is related to studying the wetlands and their relationship with the surrounding environment. Informational kiosks educate people along the wetland trails. A section of the Snoqualmie Valley bicycle path meanders through the wetlands.

Currently, the wetlands informational site is hosted by UW Bothell. You can learn more about the project by visiting:
