NEW FACULTY MEMBERS START AT CASCADIA COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Bothell, WA - Cascadia Community College announced that four instructors have joined the faculty of the college. The four will begin teaching on September 26, the opening day of fall quarter.
Ms. Carrie Doan has accepted a position in Political Science. Ms. Doan has a master’s degree in political science from the University of Washington and comes to Cascadia from teaching political science at the University of Washington, Seattle and Cornish College of the Arts.
Ms. Adrienne Lugg has a master’s degree in education from Antioch University and has been teaching at Cascadia as an associate faculty and serving as a Grant Facilitator in basic skills. She will teach basic skills classes.
Ms. Tori Saneda has a master’s degree in anthropology from The Ohio State University and joins the faculty as a tenure-track instructor in anthropology. Ms. Saneda has been teaching at Columbus State Community College and has been a research associate at the Center for Human Resource Research at The Ohio State University.
Mr. Gene Taylor has a master’s degree in American Studies from The Claremont Graduate University in Claremont, California, and will start in fall quarter as an instructor in history. He has been teaching at Edmonds Community College and Shoreline Community College.
Cascadia, which opened in 2000, has achieved several milestones in its growth during the past few months, including:
- Selection of a new president, Dr. William Christopher
- Funding for the SR-522 access to the Cascadia / UW, Bothell campus
- Legislative approval and funding for additional students
- Approval of funds for the design of a new classroom building on campus
