Kirstin Haugen Joins Cascadia Community College Board of Trustees
Bothell, WA - Bothell resident and Inglemoor High School graduate Kirstin Haugen has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of Cascadia Community College. The appointment by Governor Christine Gregoire must be confirmed by the Washington State Senate.
"I am honored and thrilled to join the Board of this new and innovative college," said Haugen. "I admire all the contributions the college has made to our community, and I look forward to helping in any way I can to sustain its success."
Ms. Haugen is an Account Executive at Mercury, LLC in Seattle, where she oversees client relations with AT&T. From 2004 – 2006, she served as Legislative Aide to Metropolitan King County Councilmember Bob Ferguson. She is a 1997 graduate of Inglemoor High School and received a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Washington in 2003.
"We are very excited to have Ms. Haugen on the college governing Board," said Dr. Bill Christopher, president of Cascadia. "Her energy, perspective and strong connections to our district will be of tremendous benefit to the college."
Ms. Haugen joins Jean Magladry, Michael Martino, Roy Wilkinson and Mark Wolfram on the 5-member Board of Trustees. The term of her appointment will run through September 30, 2010.
