Cascadia Opens Doors to New Student Services Center
Bothell, WA - After months of construction, the dust has settled and
Cascadia Community College is proud to open its brand new student services
center: Kodiak Corner. The newly remodeled department is designed to provide
students easy, one-stop access to the college support services they need to keep
their education on the right track. Kodiak Corner will be the access point for
returning students to register, apply for and receive financial aid, get career
and personal counseling, as well as a long list of other services.
Cascadia is also making changes to provide a welcoming environment for
prospective and new students. In conjunction with the new Kodiak Corner, the
New Student Welcome Center is now open. Here, students can find out more about
how Cascadia can help them achieve their goals. It is the new starting point for
all students, whether they just graduated high school, are current high school
students, have attended college before, or are already in the workforce. At the
New Student Welcome Center, prospective students may schedule a campus tour,
find out when a college representative will be at their high school, apply for
admission, meet with an academic advisor before their first quarter, and more.
“Kodiak Corner and the New Student Welcome Center are much anticipated
additions to Cascadia’s campus,” said Dr. Richard Carvajal, Vice President of
Student Success Services. “Our commitment to creating a welcoming learning
environment extends to making the process of registering for classes, seeking
advising, and paying for an education as stress-free as possible.”
Both Kodiak Corner and the New Student Welcome Center are located on the
first floor of the Cascadia Community College campus building CC1.
Kodiak Corner will house the following departments: Enrollment
Services, Student Advising & Support Services, Counseling Services, Disability
Support Services, Student Financial Services, and the Career & Transfer Center.
