Spencer and Traci Hoveskeland have been wooing their audiences since their teen years playing classical to modern music. The couple has attracted nation-wide attention with their beautiful bass and cello duets. Their virtuoso musical performances are accentuated by smart and endearing humor.

The Bottom Line Duo is known for its local performances at the Juan de Fuca Arts Festival, Seattle’s Bumbershoot, the Anacortes Arts Festival, and Tacoma’s First Night Festival. They have also been featured on Seattle’s classical stations KING- FM, KCTS and RCTV public television, and “All Things Considered” on National Public Radio.

Kaylee Dorsey, spokesperson for the Cascadia Student Activities Board, says “If you are looking for a break from homework, a night out, or some great music, look no further. Come to University of Washington’s Bothell campus. The concert will be held in the UWB students’ commons area. You won’t be disappointed!”

Reviews from the group include: “The deep resonance of a string bass behind the lyrical lines of a cello is plum pudding for the ear,” from the Seattle PI. “Elegant. Their simple, rich instrumentation gives them the freedom to explore the whole musical spectrum.” From the Seattle Weekly.
